Archbishop’s Message 2026

Greetings in the Name of the Most-High, the Lord Jesus.
Once again, we are coming to the close of another year. We are full of gratitude and thankfulness to the Lord for preserving us through 2025. We look forward to the New Year 2026, believing that the Lord will graciously bring us into it and through it successfully.

As we take stock of the year 2025, we should remember to give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for His faithfulness and grace. The year began with hopes and aspirations for many, yet some are not here to tell their stories. However, the Lord God has been gracious to us, and we have another opportunity in 2026 to go at it again.

Our theme for 2025 was “Building a Growing and High Performance Church.” And we have come a long way with it. Reflecting on our achievements so far, it is evident that we need to persist in this theme of Building a Growing and High Performance Church until we achieve the purpose set before us, which is to perform excellently in all aspects of our church and ministry.

We need to see our churches growing and performing at the optimum level, where each individual is exhibiting the life of Christ and making a difference in the church, as well as the community in which they live and work.

To this end, we will repeat the theme “Building a Growing and High Performance Church” for the year 2026 and work earnestly to achieve our goal under the theme.
A number of initiatives will be rolled out during the year, including the Sunday School material, which is based on the theme of the year 2026. It will be the basis for maturity development and a necessity for sustained growth and performance.

Let us collaborate in all the initiatives that would be put forward, in pursuit of a purpose bigger than ourselves, which is “Building a Growing and High Performance Church.” This can be achieved only through accepting that our calling as a church is to “accept the challenge of our Lord’s Commission to propagate the Gospel in the Power of the Holy Spirit in Ghana, Africa and other parts of the world.

” A growing and high performance church must be continuously engaged in spiritual formation and discipleship (cf. Acts 2:42-47). This means that the Church must demonstrate high standards of teaching, fellowship, prayer, and generosity and standardisation. Indeed, these are required for numerical and spiritual growth. Without spiritual formation, there cannot be multiplication through disciplined discipleship (cf. 2 Timothy 2:2).
As a Church, if we seek to grow and to be high performing, we must be Christ-centred. This means
that:
1. Jesus Christ must be the architect and foundation of the Church, as well as its builder (cf. 1
Corinthians 3:11; Matthew 16:18).
2. The Church must be mission-driven (cf. Matthew 28:18-20).
3. The Church must be empowered by the Holy Spirit (cf. Acts 1:8).

4. The Church needs high-standards of leadership among its clergy and laity (cf. 1 Timothy 3:1-
13), and in the general congregations (cf. 1 Corinthians 12:4-27). This must come through
training and development of leaders, both old and new.
5. The Church must be prayerful (cf. James 5:16), as a praying community is a powerful
community.
6. The Church must consistently focus on evangelism and mission (cf. Acts 5:42). Our motto is
“To proclaim the Gospel to all people, to warn, and teach them, in all wisdom, so that we may
present everyone fully mature in Christ Jesus (cf. Colossians 1:28).
7. The Church must be a good steward in all things, including its systems and structure (cf. 1
Corinthians 14:40; Luke 16:10; Titus 1:5). It must demonstrate organizational excellence.

8. The Church must build a culture of encouragement and motivation unto performance (cf.
Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 15:58). We must be consistent in building a culture that
promotes diligence in the service of God.
9. The Church must demonstrate unity and love (cf. John 13:34-35; Philippians 2:1-5).
In conclusion, I would like to indicate one significant thing the Bible tells us, which is that “unless the
LORD builds the house, its builders labour in vain” (cf. Psalm 127:1-2). In other words, it is futile to
work for something without considering God’s perspective and will. Therefore, I trust that we will all
align with the initiatives for 2026, in the belief that the initiatives are the will of God for the Church in
this season.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with
us all. Amen.
